KAYAKING

Volunteers constructed a free kayak launch just east of the Border Road Bridge.

A short portage is required to a nylon mat on the bank.

The Myakka River is a state designated "Wild and Scenic River."

All vegetation, artifacts are protected. Please help us keep the ramp area and river free of litter.

Snook Haven is a leisurely half-hour paddle downstream. It is publicly owned. Food and drinks are available.

Upstream is a public park at the end of Laurel Road with restrooms and a floating dock.

No powered watercraft or pets are permitted.

Check out our links to kayak tours and equipment.
